BEATRIX WARD-FERNANDEZ

Born 1981 - Raised in Rota, Cadiz

Began classical violin training on her move to England. Played a wide variety of musics and has improvising experience with, among others, Martin Archer, Mick Beck, Pat Thomas and J.D. Parran. Her wish to experiment with the use of electronics in an acoustic context (plus her love of the instrument) has led to her unique use of the Theremin in improvised music. She is currently a member of The Navigators (with Charlie Collins and John Jasnoch) and Mick Beck's large ensemble The Gated Community.
